The Legend of Zelda, which first debuted in 1986 and enthralled players with the magical realm of Hyrule and its recognizable characters, Link and Princess Zelda, has become a crucial part of Nintendo’s gaming legacy. The series’ unique blend of legendary storyline and cutting-edge gameplay has enthralled fans for decades; Breath of the Wild, released in 2017, was the series’ pinnacle. This entry revolutionised the Zelda formula and won multiple Game of the Year awards by embracing an open-world adventure and departing from the franchise’s conventional, more linear courses.
When Nintendo announced its plans for a Breath of the Wild sequel in 2019, the story took an unexpected turn and hinted at a rarely-seen continuation in the franchise. This much-awaited project began to take shape in Nintendo’s offices, with Hidemaro Fujibayashi directing and Eiji Aonuma producing. It aroused fan curiosity and excitement.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the title of the sequel, was revealed in 2022, and teasers for a new chapter of exploration in the sky above Hyrule and its enigmatic floating islands were released.

2019-Present

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the game’s first installment, was well-received upon its debut in 2017. When ideas for enhancements grew larger than what was allowed for DLC, the decision was made to continue the plot in the following installment. As a result, Tears of the Kingdom and the first installment share the universe, characters, and a large portion of the game environment. The fact that the symbol basically mimics the previous one is not surprising.
