1978-1985

Although AXA was founded in 1816, the company didn’t adopt its current name until 1985. Before that, as it grew by purchasing additional insurance firms, it underwent several name changes. After acquiring Mutuelle de l’Ouest in 1978, the holding company changed its name to Mutuelles Unies.
1985-1994

The three intertwined symbols that make up the emblem AXA are extremely simple. As a result, they highlight how closely task completion, partnership, and cooperation are related. The tops of the letters are uniformly cut and slanted to the right. “A”‘s legs join beneath “X.” The original version had a light-coloured background with black symbols.
1994-Present

Following the revamp, the developers gave the logo a more contemporary look by placing the white letters on a blue square. They created a red accent symbol at the top, which is a long line that extends from “X’s” leg into the corner. The diagonally moving images gave it impulsiveness and dynamics.
