When Norwich Union and CGU plc, two industry titans, decided to combine forces in 2000, the insurance industry in the UK saw a dramatic transformation. Although Norwich Union has a long history, since 1797, Commercial Union and General Accident recently merged to form CGU in 1998. The new business formed by the transaction was first known as CGNU plc. However, two years later, in 2002, the business changed its Almaviva, a major international insurance company serving about 33 million clients. Aviva had an insatiable desire to grow at the start of the twenty-first century.

Canada, Ireland, and the UK are their strongholds. Aviva is a multi-line insurance provider that provides asset management services and life, health, and general insurance. Aviva has about 30,000 workers and runs its business from its London headquarters. As part of the FTSE 100 index on the London Stock Exchange since 2002, the company’s considerable market influence is also acknowledged in the financial sector. Age and become Aviva.

One of the oldest insurance firms, Hand in Hand Fire & Life Insurance Society, has a timeless logo. The emblem is a pair of hands clasped in a handshake, signifying the fundamental principles of insurance: mutual consent and trust.

The prominent insurance group Norwich Union is represented by the logo. With a vertical bisecting design, the modernist abstraction of the logo divides the canvas into two color blocks: a royal blue on the right and a deep crimson on the left. A golden chevron pointing upward, surrounded by two smaller chevrons, overlaps these blocks to create an arrow-like design that denotes advancement, upward mobility, and prosperity.

The Aviva logo was created in 2000 after Norwich and Commercial and General Unions amalgamated. It included the firm name in block letters along with a symbol. At first, it was an acronym for the names of the companies that made up the new business: CGNU.

The name Aviva was chosen in 2002. The word’s meaning is “springtime,” which comes from Hebrew. As a result, the company’s logo was modified. The term “AVIVA” was now shown in block letters beneath the same 2000 version of the symbol. However, the color scheme of the insignia was also changed. The right portion had a light chartreuse green tone, the left field turned light cobalt blue, and the spire took on a honey-yellow tone.
